Zusammenfassung:FIELD: fire-fighting methods, equipment or accessories, particularly to work out fire-protection measures for inhabited compartments of extraterrestrial objects under artificial gravity. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves applying reactive force pulse to spacecraft in direction reverse to spacecraft rotation direction if fire is detected, wherein the reactive force pulse is applied along with forced ventilation system capacity up to rotational speed reduction. The rotational speed may be determined from ^ where omegalim is rotational speed of spacecraft, at which combustion is stopped; rhm is distance from center of spacecraft gravity to inhabited pressurized compartment, which is outermost from center of spacecraft gravity; glim is extreme acceleration of gravity for structural material burning. Time of rotational speed reduction to omegalim value does not exceed venting flow velocity reduction in instrument area of inhabited pressure compartment from standard value to value equal to flow velocity, which is threshold for structural materials having the greater combustibility. Artificial gravity regime is recovered in inhabited compartment after recovery of normal forced ventilation system regime in the compartment. ^ EFFECT: increased fire-fighting efficiency. ^ 2 dwg
