Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; methods and press molds for production of the dolomite briquettes. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to pressing of the bulk materials and may be used for production of briquettes out of the finely dispersed dolomite usable in the converter production. The method includes the pressing of the loose medium in the closed volume limited by the effective surfaces of the press mould. The finely dispersed dolomite or the lump dolomite with the sizes of the small lumps up to 10 mm or their mixture is poured into the press mould with the coefficient of filling up to 2-4, and then the dry molding is conducted at the specific effort of 150-250 MPa. For realization of the method the invention offers two versions of the press mould. In the first version the press mould contains the die pressed in the belt, the plunger, the pusher and the supporting plates. The die working area contains the conical and cylindrical sections. The height of the conical section is equal to the height of the briquette minus the height of its cylindrical small belt. The conicity makes 0.15-0.2. The height of the cylindrical section H is determined by the given formula. In the second version the working area of an die is made cylindrical and has the height H1 defined according to the given formula.
