Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: nuclear power engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed air cooling device designed in particular for use in power stations with VVER reactors incorporating passive heat transfer system has toroidal air manifold concentrically mounted on external wall of containment to form bottom equalizing space; annular air intake slit made on upper surface of manifold; deflector disposed on containment dome; vertically mounted air ducts whose bottom sections communicate with air manifold and top ones, with pipe connection of deflector forming equalizing space; and heat-transfer apparatuses designed for cooling nuclear reactor and installed in air-duct sections where they are communicating with air manifold. Air manifold accommodates shell ring mounted on upper surface between slit and section communicating with air ducts that encloses heat-transfer apparatuses for dividing bottom equalizing space into two intercommunicating buffer zones. Such design ensures stable air feed to air heat-transfer apparatuses of passive heat transfer system. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability and efficiency of heat transfer from nuclear reactor in transient and emergency conditions of power station. ^ 1 cl, 5 dwg |
