Zusammenfassung:FIELD: metallurgy; by-product coke industry; production of coal-tar pitch used for preparation of graphitized products and anode mass. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes treatment of average-temperature pitch with air at elevated temperature at simultaneous delivery of air heated to temperature 120-250°C at rate of 1-10 m3/Tpitch at delivery of fraction of coal-tar resin in the amount of 5-30% of total amount of pitch. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of pitch due to reduced content of volatile matter and increased content of alpha-fraction. ^ 1 tbl
