Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely processes for hot rolling of metal in wide strip hot rolling mills. ^ SUBSTANCE: method is realized due to providing heat interaction of metal with working surfaces of screen sections at conveying metal on roller table; heating up surface of screen sections till metal temperature by passing electric current through respective part of screen whose one surface is working surface of screen. Heating is realized according to traveling wave embracing 2 - 4 sections of screens along motion direction of metal. Width of screens is lowered (increased) as rolled strip width increases (decreases). Cartridge of screen includes set of shaped tubes arranged along roller table; one wall of tube is joined with tube by means of hinges. Tube is joined with electrically conducting sheet whose thickened edges are outside tube and electric current is supplied to them.
