The frequency is reduced without interrupting stimulation to reach spontaneous escape rhythm or hemodynamically critical pacing rhythm. Pacemaker addiction index is calculated from formula comprising initial pacing frequency and frequency manifesting occurrence of the spontaneous escape rhythm or hemodynamically critical frequency. The pacemaker addiction index value is interpreted in terms of low or high Pacemaker addiction degree. ^ EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in quantitatively describing pacemaker addiction of a patient. ^ 1 dwg
