METHOD FOR PREPARING TO OPERATION ROLLS OF FOUR-HIGH SHEET ROLLING STAND

FIELD: preparation of rolls of sheet rolling stands for operation. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mounting set of backup and rolling rolls in stand; applying to rolls effort consisting 95 -100 % of rolling effort for mutually pressing rolls in plane of roll axes; rotating rolls under such load; before mounting in stand grinding rolls in order to provide mean value of roll barrel roughness exceeding standard roughness value set according to manufacturing demands of rolling process by 0.5 - 0.6 micrometers; combining ground rolling rolls to pair at difference of their barrel diameters in range 2 - 2.5 mm and also at difference of their barrel rigidity values no more than 2 - 3 units by Shore.
