METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LUMBER PILE FORMING

FIELD: woodworking, particularly microwave lumber drying. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves laying boards in rows on padding with spaces so that board rows are located at alpha angle to horizon defined by the following expression tgalpha=lambda/2b, where lambda is electromagnetic wave length in air, b is pile width. Angle alpha of each next row is inverse to previous one so that all even rows are parallel to each other and all uneven rows are also parallel to each other. Padding is formed as triangle with extensions made at apex and median thereof. Triangle height is equal to pile width, triangle base is equal to ultrahigh-frequency electromagnetic wave length in air lambda. Extension at triangle median is equal to lambda/4/lambda/2. ^ EFFECT: increased drying rate due to increased depth of electromagnetic microwave penetration into lumber pile. ^ 1 dwg
