Zusammenfassung:FIELD: heat treatment processes with electric -resistance heating, possibly in different branches of national economy for strengthening working surfaces of parts of bodies of revolution, namely screws of lever-screw type jacks, studs, U-bolts of springs, bolts and so on. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of quenching part with use of thread knurling head with moving rollers to one of which electric current is supplied for simultaneous thread knurling on part. When part is hold by means of rollers the last start thread knurling while between rollers pressure is created for acting upon part surface and simultaneously power plant is energized. Between roller to which electric current is supplied and part conditions for high temperature thermal-mechanical treatment of threaded surface of part are created. ^ EFFECT: possibility for treating parts in semi-automatic mode, enhanced quality of threaded surface of quenched layer due to providing its predetermined depth and reduced initial roughness. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg
