METHOD FOR MAKING BY BENDING ROD OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL PARTS SUCH AS CLAMPS OF RAIL JOINTS

FIELD: plastic working of metal. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of piece feeding of blanks to zone for bending in die set, transferring blank to working position for bending. Forcing blank to fixed portion of die set, two-side successively realized preliminary and finish bending of blank; during preliminary bending process bending end and arch-shaped portions of blank for forming preliminary contour of part; at finish bending process bending intermediate portions of part for forming complete contour of part. Two-side preliminary and finish bending operations are realized in the same working position of die set formed by means of grooves passing along contour in working together movable and stationary mandrels-gages and in bending working organs. Preliminary bending for forming preliminary contour of part is realized in grooves of movable and stationary mandrels-gages at their closed state. Finish bending for forming complete contour of part is realized in groove of stationary mandrel-gage after removing movable mandrel-former from working position to initial one. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of products, enhanced efficiency of process, lowered power consumption and reduced cost for making parts. ^ 4 cl, 3 dwg
