Zusammenfassung:FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to additional safety devices of machines and mechanisms moving along rail tracks, mainly to load-lifting cranes. It is used for emergency stopping of mechanisms, for instance, when instance, when crane disconnecting devices fail to stop crane. Proposed device includes housing, drive and moving members to provide friction forces. It is essentially buffer stop for mechanism or device moving along track, with travel limiter made in form of shock-and-friction device in which housing is installed for sliding along rail. Housing is made in form of box-section gusset connected with base and post on which buffer is mounted. Housing is connected to rail by bolt joint at pressing force , where K is traction safety coefficient; Q is designed shearing force, kgf; f is friction coefficient. Proposed shock-and-friction device is furnished with cam with drive, cam clamping pressure being , where M=SxI -is moment on cam, kgf.cm; l is arm, cm; S force on lever, kgf; is mean value of radius from center of rotation of cam to clamping point, cm; is mean angle of cam lifting in clamping point, degrees; are sliding friction angles in point of clamping of cam axis, degrees. Drive of cam is made in form of hinge-coupled cam drive lever, drive rod, pull-back spring and pusher.
