Zusammenfassung:FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: vibration isolator comprises two connecting supports and a set of flexible members interposed between them. The members are kinematically connected with the mechanism for changing rigidity of the vibration isolator. The mechanism is made of cylindrical step shaft the number of step of which is equal to the number of flexible members in the set. The flexible members are arranged between the races in order of increasing rigidity. The races are centered on the shaft steps to provide spaces between the inner faces of the races. The spaces are equal to admissible working strokes of the flexible members in compression. The first and end steps of the shaft are provided with stops. One stop is in a contact with the top race of the flexible member of maximum rigidity, and the other one is in a contact with the bottom race of the flexible member of minimum rigidity. The step shaft is provided with closed spaces which is in communication with the atmosphere through radial throttle passages made from the side of each of the spaces between the races. The inner faces of the races are made of a valve-seat pair. ^ EFFECT: enhanced load-carrying capability, expanded functional capabilities, and prolonged service life. ^ 1 dwg
