Zusammenfassung:FIELD: chemical industry, material engineering, in particular material operated in extreme environment. ^ SUBSTANCE: titanium or titanium-based alloy is melted by focused laser emission with power density of (6.5-11.7)x 10-5 W/cm2. Simultaneously melt is azotized, crushed, and target product is recovered by technical nitrogen stream. To obtain titanium nitride containing 18-22 % or more of nitrogen with hardness of 1600-2230 N treatment rate is selected as 1.8-2.5 m/min. To obtain titanium nitride containing 7-15 % of nitrogen with hardness of 760-2000 N treatment rate is 2.6-4.0 m/min. ^ EFFECT: simplified process with decreased effort and improved capability; titanium nitride with controlled nitrogen content and hardness. ^ 3 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
