Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: chemical industry, material engineering, in particular material operated in extreme environment. ^ SUBSTANCE: titanium or titanium-based alloy is melted by focused laser emission with power density of (6.5-11.7)x 10-5 W/cm2. Simultaneously melt is azotized, crushed, and target product is recovered by technical nitrogen stream. To obtain titanium nitride containing 18-22 % or more of nitrogen with hardness of 1600-2230 N treatment rate is selected as 1.8-2.5 m/min.
