APPARATUS FOR DRYING OF ROOT AND ROOTSTOCK OF LICORICE CLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA L

FIELD: drying equipment used in agriculture for stocking and production of licorice raw material from whole and cut licorice roots and rootstocks. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cylindrical casing with charging device, high-pressure thermal fan and air duct. Casing may be transported by any road, is made hermetically sealed and is provided with guides for directing of mobile column-type pallets into casing cavity and placing said pallets in parallel with guides in lower part of casing. Casing is equipped with air ducts for uniform distribution of heat-carrier in casing cavity, adjustable gate for discharge into atmosphere of used heat-carrier, pressure gauge, temperature sensors, winch for moving of mobile column-type pallets along guides, mechanism for driving of charging device to operating and opened position, set of ramps for moving of mobile column-type pallets, support, staircase, pipe for discharge of used heat-carrier into atmosphere, and condensate collecting valve. Apparatus allows licorice roots and rootstocks to be dried for one or two days to moisture content of 8-12%. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency and high quality of drying of licorice roots and rootstocks. ^ 23 cl, 8 dwg
