ROTARY MOWER

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment used for mowing of grass and other wild vegetation. ^ SUBSTANCE: rotary mower is adapted for pivotal hitching to tractor and is composed of vertical shafts mounted in hollow sections. Rotors and knives are fixed to shaft. Hollow sections are connected with one another so as to define cutter bar. Hollow sections are movable in longitudinal, transverse and vertical plane and are connected with one another by means of spring-loaded spherical pivot hinges with side flats. Spherical hinges are equipped with through openings, into which portions of flexible shafts are inserted. Ends of flexible shafts are movably connected at one side with horizontal shafts by means of splined joints and are rigidly connected at other side with horizontal shafts. Centrifugal regulator and carrier conical gears are mounted on horizontal shafts of each section. Mated conical gears are fixed on vertical shafts or rotors with knives. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency in mowing of vegetation owing to improved feeling of ground profile due to movable connection of mower bar sections. ^ 7 dwg
