FLAX STRIP DOUBLING APPARATUS

FIELD: agricultural engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame with following wheel, picking-up device, transportation mechanism made in the form of conical drums, and guiding rods. Frame provided with carrier wheel is made in the form of arc of circle with center at the point of contacting of carrier wheel with horizontal surface. At least three conical drums are mounted on frame in equally spaced relation in vertical-transverse plane, with apexes of conical drums being oriented toward circle center. Each of conical drums is positioned for rotation about its axis of rotation oriented radially to circle center. Left-hand outer drum serves as picking-up device operating in direction of advancement of apparatus and two other conical drums serve as transportation devices. Arc of circle having radius equal to half the width of doubling apparatus and arranged concentrically with frame divides height of each conical drum by two, and guiding rods simultaneously embrace all drums. ^ EFFECT: simplified construction, reduced dimensions, decreased power consumption and enhanced reliability in operation. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg
