Zusammenfassung:FIELD: fusion reactor design. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed system for pumping carrier gas of reactor-blanket tritium-breeding module through breeding region incorporating sectors, each provided with lithium-containing ceramic region and beryllium region, has circuit for pumping carrier gas through ceramic-fill tubes constituting lithium-containing ceramic region and circuit for pumping it through beryllium fill between tubes constituting beryllium region. Inlet of beryllium region pumping circuit of first sector functions as inlet of pumping system and outlet of lithium-containing ceramic region pumping circuit of mentioned sector functions as system outlet. Outlet of beryllium-region pumping circuit of last sector is connected to inlet of lithium-containing ceramic region pumping circuit of mentioned sector. Inlet of beryllium region pumping circuit of each next sector is connected to outlet of preceding sector circuit and inlet of lithium-containing ceramic region pumping circuit of each preceding sector is connected to outlet of circuit of each next sector. ^ EFFECT: enhanced carrier gas residence time in beryllium region due to its sequential passage through beryllium and lithium-containing ceramic regions. ^ 1 cl, 3 dwg
