Zusammenfassung:FIELD: manufacture of building materials. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of mineral decorative grains intended for surface of concrete products and roofing materials. Method of invention comprising grinding rock, grain size fractionation, applying onto grain surface coloring composition consisting of binder and inorganic pigment, heat treatment, and cooling, contemplates drying fractioned grains to residual moisture 0.5-2%, using alumino-chromo-phosphate binder with density 1500-1700 kg/m and, additionally, surfactant (OP-7 or OP-10, 0.02-0.1%). Composition is applied in amount 3-5% of the weight of grains. Colored grains are thermally treated at 200-250, cooled to 150-170, and treated with alkyltriethoxysilane or methoxysilane (waterproofing agents) in amounts 0.05-0.1% of the weight of colored grains. Inorganic pigment (5-15%) of coloring composition is selected from iron oxide, chromium oxide, titanium dioxide, and zinc white. Fraction distribution of ground rock is the following, mm/wt %: 2.0-1.6/2-6. 1.6-1.25/5-10. 1.25-0.63/60-83. 0.63-0.25/10-20, and below 0.25 mm - the rest. ^ EFFECT: increased coloration intensity and water resistance and improved adhesion capability. ^ 3 cl, 1 tbl
