FIELD: electrical engineering; submersible electric motors. ^ SUBSTANCE: motor frame is hermetically sealed structure made in the form of enclosed barrel with end cowlings and is equipped with external coaxial sound-insulating casing which is lined with sound-insulating coating and attached to frame through vibration-insulating gaskets. Sound-insulating coating is made of five layers of rubber of which two external layers are made of monolithic material and three internal ones, of perforated material. Internal surface of frame butt-end cowlings is also lined with mentioned coating. ^ EFFECT: reduced noise-emission level at desired heat transfer from running motor coupled with propeller shaft. ^ 2 cl, 4 dwg
