Zusammenfassung:FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed muffler contains housing with intake and outlet branch pipes and one or several separators arranged inside housing. Each separator includes expansion chamber, cone and slotted baffle. Housing is made double-walled. Partitions with through holes are arranged lengthwise the housing between its cylindrical walls. Partitions form perforated upper and lower sectors divided by blind sections. Blind section before outlet branch pipe covers 2/3 of partition area. Muffler is furnished with additional expansion chambers. One additional expansion chamber is arranged in area of intake branch pipe, part of intake branch pipe getting into additional chamber is made perforated. Other additional chamber is arranged after baffle before outlet branch pipe, and third chamber is formed by cylindrical walls and end face walls of housing from side of intake branch pipe. Central part of separator cone is made corrugated and perforated noise damper is placed over said part. One end of noise damper is secured on cone of separator, and the other, on slotted baffle. Diameter at outlet intake branch pipe into expansion chamber is considerably smaller than diameter at inlet of intake branch pipe. EFFECT: improved efficiency of exhaust gas damping and cleaning, increased strength at reduced weight. 2 cl, 4 dwg
