METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHANGING SHEARS AT CROSS CUTTING OF BANDS AND SHEETS IN ROLLING LINE OR IN TRANSPORTATION LINE

FIELD: machine engineering, possibly cross cutting of bands and sheets in roller table of rolling line or transportation line. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of using shears with cutter rests mounted separately over and under band or sheet and guided by means of carrying members; after each cutting operation (when band or sheet is arranged in rolling or transportation line) moving aside shears with cutter rests and carrying members out of said line to neutral waiting position; opening front connection between cutter rests or between carrying members that embrace from upwards rolling or transportation line; for further shearing moving shears to rolling or transportation line when line is U-embraced from upwards by means of shears; before next shearing, closing said front connection realizing geometry and power closing with use of clamping members; when shears are introduced to rolling or transportation line, movable portion of roller table is moved aside from said line; when shears are placed in neutral waiting position, movable portion of roller table is again introduced into line. Apparatus for performing the method includes shears having drive unit, carrying members or cutter rests mounted over and under band or sheet and carriage moving on rails for placing shears. Carriage is moved by means of traveling drive unit across rolling or transportation line when band or sheet is placed in said line. Shears include U-shaped frame open at side of rolling or transportation line and closed at side of drive unit. Carrying members are provided with supports designed for mounting cutter rests and they are arranged in U-shaped frame at side of shears drive unit and at side of roller table. The last has movable part and it is joined with said carriage. EFFECT: possibility for moving shears into line directly before shearing process while providing free access to roller table, possibility for maintaining shears outside of line after moving them out of line for short time period in case of fault operation. 8 cl, 6 dwg
