UNIT FOR CLAMPING WIRE ROPE LENGTH

FIELD: units for clamping wire rope lengths; locking objects; forming thimbles. SUBSTANCE: one end of wire rope is placed in body and second end is passed through it, thus forming loop; it is fixed in body by means of two similar spring-loaded bodies of revolution received by two longitudinal slots which are communicated with through passages of body. Slots are located at angle relative to each other and at angle relative to longitudinal axis of through passage; they are provided with thrust end cylindrical surfaces which are directed towards inlet hole of body and are shifted relative each other. End of wire rope intended for placing in body is preliminarily rigidly secured in insert which is freely located in inner cavity of body for motion. Insert is provided with projection having two bearing platforms for engagement with two bodies of revolution. Longitudinal slots and through passage are made in holder located in inner cavity of body at spaced relation between side surfaces.
