Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: metallurgy; mechanical engineering; removal of skull from blast tuyeres in melting of liquid metal. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes fusion and washing-off of heated skull by radial gas jets over perimeter of tuyere with two simultaneous flows directed at angle relative to tuyere axis during upward motion of tuyere. Fusion and washing-off of skull are performed by gas-oxygen mixture immediately after completion of lancing. Content of oxygen in mixture reduced by 10-40% 1-10 minutes after lancing. Device proposed for realization of this method includes ring-shaped collector located above neck of metallurgical furnace; said ring-shaped collector is provided with two rows of fusion and washing- off nozzles located radially over perimeter at angle relative to tuyere axis. Ring-shaped collector is located above water jacket of furnace gas exhaust passage. Jet fusion nozzles are located at angle of 65-80 deg. relative to tuyere axis. Device is provided with gas mixing system and gas supply control and monitoring system.
