FIELD: testing of plates, tubes and other rolled stock directly in cold- and hot-rolling mills in dynamics. SUBSTANCE: X-ray meter of parameters of rolled product has X-radiation source, first and second X-ray detectors placed in sequence, controlled article positioned between first and second detectors, controller connected with inputs to outputs of first and second detectors, recorder coupled with input to output of controller, X-ray protective screen and third X-ray detector. First and third detectors are double chamber detectors, materials of their converting elements have atomic numbers different in value. First detector faces controlled article with its converting element with greater atomic number and third detector faces article with its converting element displaying smaller atomic number. EFFECT: widened functional potential caused by simultaneous measurement of thickness of sheet material and its effective atomic number. 1 dwg
