Method involves grinding lumpy silicon in ball mill by milling bodies in flow of inert gas that are made from alloy of copper catalyst and promoters aluminum, zinc, tin and antimony taken in the ratio, wt.-%: Cu, 98.25-98.75; Al, 0.055-0.065; Zn, 0.9-1.05; Sn, 0.07-0.09; Sb, 0.10-0.13.
