Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: invention provides homopolymers or copolymers of 1-buten containing up to 20 wt % of alpha-olefins having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and other than 1-buten, which are characterized by the following: (i) isotacticity index above 93 provided by nuclear magnetic resonance measurements according to lower presented approach; (ii) molecular weight distribution, expressed as Mw/Mn, exceeding 6 provided by gel- permeation chromatography according to lower presented approach; and (iii) residual catalyst level below 50 expressed as ppm Ti. Polymers are very well suitable for manufacturing products, in particular tubes. Process for production of homopolymers or copolymers of 1-buten is also provided, which is accomplished in presence of catalyst comprising solid component containing titanium compound and internal electronodonor compound supported by magnesium chloride; alkykaluminum compound ; and external electronodonor compound.
