B x V/Q x C, where T - belt heating temperature, C; l - distance from zone of termination of belt heating until metal meniscus in mold. m; delta - belt thickness, mm; C - carbon content in steel of belt, mass%; V - linear velocity of belt feeding under steel meniscus in mold, m/min; B - width of belt, mm; Q - flowrate of steel cast to mold, t/min; K - empiric coefficient equal to 0.0007 - 0.003 C x % x t/cub.m x m.
