SUBSTANCE: spherical roller bearing has outer race with spherical roller track, inner race with toroidal roller track and two outer sides of equal height, even number of barrel-type rollers, and separator. Thrust surfaces of outer sides are positioned at an angle to inner race ends. Rollers are made asymmetrical. Ends of adjacent rollers remote from plane of their maximal diameter are facing opposite sides. Roller ends remote from plane of their maximal diameter are made spherical or flat. Thrust surfaces of outer sides are positioned at an angle to ends of inner race. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation of bearing due to elimination of edge effects. 3 cl, 3 dwg
