Zusammenfassung:FIELD: foundry, possibly manufacture of castings of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. SUBSTANCE: slag trap is in the form of cavity-boss and metal receptacle with insert placed between them. Insert has protrusion forming gap between walls of cavity-boss. Insert may include incorporated filtering member. Metal receptacle is connected with feeder having less throughput cross section than runner. Melt metal is introduced from runner into cavity-boss along tangent line that is why it begins to move centrifugally. In gap between cavity-boss and protrusion of insert melt metal is maximally subjected to action of centrifugal forces. It provides removal of slag out of first dozes of metal. As cleaning melt metal from slag in cavity-boss, it is fed to metal receptacle and then through feeder to casting mold. Melt metal is additionally cleaned when it passes through filter. EFFECT: possibility for providing desired purification degree of melt metal, elimination of early clogging of filter. 2 cl, 2 dwg
