Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: medicine, surgical stomatology. SUBSTANCE: the suggested device has two levels connected together with axis. There is a measuring ruler at the end of one level. Also, device has a screw in the middle of measuring part of both levels. Screw consists of a threaded part and a head with a slot socket on it with possibility to rotate. There is an opening in the middle part of screw's head where a dowel with a spring are situated with possibility for reciprocation to provide constant measuring effort. At working ends of both levels there are rests for teeth. One level has a protrusion for reading results at ruler's scale. As a result, the suggested device enables to accurately and reliably measure the degree of inflammatory contracture of masseter muscles that, in its turn, favors accurate diagnostics and control for treating inflammatory diseases in oral area.
