SUBSTANCE: the eye length is measured with the use of the acoustic parameters of the myopic eyes, the lens power of the cornea is determined. Ocular refraction of the paired eye, presence of cataract on it, degree of its ripening and the predicted rate of reduction of visual acuity of the second eye are additionally taken into account. The lens power of the implanted intraocular lens at a two-sided cataract and myopia gravis or myopia medium is calculated by formula: P=A-0.9K-2.5L+[(R+2.5)] -sigma, where P - lens power of ILP; A - constant determined by the manufacturer of ILP; K - lens power of the cornea, A; L - length of eye optic axis, mm; R - refraction of paired eye, A; sigma - coefficient dependent on the length of the eye optic axis: at .
