Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: flat-panel displays built around cold-emission cathodes. SUBSTANCE: cold-emission cathode used for producing easy-to-manufacture full-color display has insulating substrate that may be made of glass and carries nanocrystal carbon-containing film emitter in the form of single layer of high-melting powdered material grains with grain size of 10-9 to 10-4 m covered with nanocrystal carbon-containing film. Flat-plate display has flat glass plates one of whose sides mounts set of cold-emission cathodes in the form of buses covered with single layer of high-melting powdered material grains with grain size of 10-94 to 10-4 m covered with nanocrystal carbon-containing film. Powder grains are made of material of following range: silicon, diamond, silicon carbide, molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum, titanium, and their alloys.
