SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon gas is cooled down in air cooling apparatuses with several rows of heat-exchanging tubes with inlet and outlet headers. In the process of service the inlet header is filled with an inhibitor of hydration to the level of the holes of the lower row of the heat-exchanging tubes. Methanol may be used as an inhibitor. In the outlet header gas and inhibitor are separated. EFFECT: provided hydrateless cooling of hydrocarbon gas at the maximum reduction of its temperature below the temperature of hydration in the process of variations of the temperature of the atmospheric air in the winter conditions. 2 cl, 1 dwg
