INDICATOR OF TOXIC GASES

FIELD: measuring and indication technology. SUBSTANCE: indicator can be both used in measuring facilities and as visual indicator monitoring environment, for measurement of concentration and location of leaks of noxious and expansive gases, for leak test of articles carrying harmful chemical agents and of other devices utilized in metrology, agriculture and various branches of industry and scientific research. Indicator of toxic gases is porous material into which finely dispersed fragments of film containing mixture of two current conducting polymers is injected. Polymers ( polythiophene and polysilaneaniline ) in mass ratio 4.0-3.0 and 1.5-1.0 are correspondingly synthesized under condition of potenciostatic cycling with potentials from -2.0 to -3.4 under mode of cathode and from +5.7 to +7.2 under mode of anode relative to counterelectrode which is graphite bar with chromium wire wound around it. EFFECT: increased selectivity and authenticity of analysis, possibility of employment of indicator without any measurement devices.
