Zusammenfassung:FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves subjecting yarn exiting drawing device in zone between drawing device and clamp of reel in the form of rotating mechanical false twisting device to preliminary wetting and simultaneously compacting wet yarn by false twisting performed with the help of reel; providing additional wetting of resultant roving in closed volume partly filled with liquid at false twist removal zone between reel clamp rotating in liquid for creating finely dispersed liquid medium and discharge pair of twisting-forming device; feeding roving for winding. Apparatus has reel made in the form of rotating mechanical twisting device having rotating clamp enclosed in fixed sleeve for accumulation of wetting liquid flowing through reel channel from preliminary wetting device. Fixed sleeve is located in the vicinity of rotating reel clamp and is axially aligned therewith. Sleeve is equipped with axial discharge opening, which serves as balloon limiting means and has diameter of value connected with roving linear density by ratio of: d=0.003T+2 mm, where d is diameter of axial discharge opening of fixed sleeve; T is linear density of produced roving. Method and apparatus are used for forming untwisted roving from flax fiber and allow thin flax filaments to be produced. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing optimal drawing conditions on spinning machine and improved quality of roving. 3 cl, 1 dwg
