Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: railway transport; measuring facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical devices for measuring linear values. Proposed gauge contains base on which slider 13 is installed for movement in guides. Guides of slider 13 designed for measuring thickness of wheel flange are made in form of frame 9 with fitted-in second slider 11 provided with scale 12. Scale is graduated so that reading by notch on slider 13 corresponds to angle found from equation where alpha is angle of tilting of inner side surface of wheel flange to vertical; alpha is distance between points of contact of slider ends with surface of checked flange in horizontal; t is distance between said points in vertical.
