ARTILLERY CARTRIDGE

FIELD: ammunition for anti-infantry automatic grenade launchers. SUBSTANCE: invention can be utilized in manufacture of artillery cartridges for increased shooting range. Cartridge case is fitted with percussion cap. External space of cartridge is confined between internal surface of case and external surface of part of projectile positioned in case which is connected to charge chamber with use of lateral holes. Part of projectile behind band is cylindrical-conical and is extended to entire depth of space of case, to positive stop against case bottom. Propelling charge of cartridge is positioned in bottom recess having depth of 0.4-1.0 caliber and diameter 0.7-0.8 caliber. Volume of external space equals to 0.04- 0.06 volume of bottom recess. Total area of holes communicating external space to bottom recess amounts to 0.04-0.06 area of inlet hole of bottom recess. EFFECT: such implementation of cartridge enables shooting range of projectile to be increased noticeably with preservation of recoil pulse. 1 dwg
