APPARATUS FOR MAKING SPRINGS WITH DOUBLE-SIDE WINDING AND WITH BENT MEAN PORTION

FIELD: machine engineering, namely manufacture of articles from wire. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes mounted in housing: mechanism for bending mean portion of wire; mechanisms for forming pitch and for winding spring; mechanism for removing ready article and control mechanism. Mechanism for bending mean portion of wire includes spring-loaded punch, stepped wedge mounted on bracket and rigidly secured to former and two spring-loaded bending and squeezing rollers mounted on pin in holder. Winding mechanism includes mandrels with spring-loaded carriers arranged in shaft-pinions closed at one side by means of nuts and fixed by means of lock screws. Shaft-pinions are mounted with possibility of axial motion by means of double-arm levers engaged with spring-loaded pushers and with possibility of rotation. Pitch forming mechanism is in the form of pitch forming wedges whose conicity angles are equal to lead angle of axis of spring turns. Mechanism for removing ready articles is in the form of upper fork spring-loaded relative to lower fork, both forks are mounted on pin in holder.
