Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: cellular members applicable, for instance, in catalytic conversion of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: extruded cellular member, particularly, catalyst body-carrier has many through channels for passage of fluid medium. At least a part of channel is bound and/or separated from each other by walls of the first thickness, and at least a part of channels is bound and/or separated from each other by walls of the second thickness which exceeds the first thickness. Cellular member has structure of wall which imparts rigidity to it formed by walls of the second thickness. Wall structure imparting rigidity has several approximately straight partitions of the second thickness which departing in corresponding place transversely to edge of cellular member run from corresponding external side to inside of cellular member or full inserted cellular member. No channels are bound only by walls being extensions of the second thickness partitions. Several partitions run at least to common unit which combines them inside cellular member. The second version of cellular member manufacture is also described. Said cellular members may have very thin channel walls with high rigidity that imparts at least locally extremely low heat capacity to them. EFFECT: higher efficiency of using. 12 cl, 5 dwg |
