OBESITY TREATMENT METHOD

FIELD: medicine, in particular, psychiatry and psychotherapy. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing two-staged treatment of III-IV grade obesity: at first stage fat "combustion" due to limited ration caloricity is suggested to patient, and at second stage program for keeping predisposition to weight reduction is suggested provided that body weight is reduced in accordance with formula: "height in cm minus 85". Treating procedures are performed in the following manner: patient is offered psychotherapeutic composition in the form of film having illustrative material presented by at least 80% in the form of static pictures, with narrator's voice behind frame providing successively rational psychotherapy, introduction of patient into meditation state and suggestion, and simultaneously providing sounding of musical accompaniment of nature emotionally enhancing and corresponding to sense of a psychotherapeutic action; discretely increasing rhythm of musical compositions during treatment procedure from 40 to 90 strokes per minute by the end of procedure; apart from verbal effects and musical accompaniment, showing illustrative images of appearance and shape forming psychoemotional patient's attitude toward object of suggestion.
