METHOD FOR EVALUATING FUNCTIONAL STATE OF FETUS

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording cardiac current plot. Fetal heart beat rate is determined from the cardiac current plot. Monotonic rhythm segments are detected on the cardiac current plot curve. When finding a curve that exceeds the upper and lower than the lower frequency limit of monotonic rhythm, functional state of the fetus is evaluated as stressed one. No monotonic rhythm segments being found, the functional state is considered to be adaptive one. The fetus being observed in stressed and adaptive states during more than 2/3 of recording time, typical found functional state is considered to be the case.
