METHOD FOR CORRECTING DEFECTIVE POSITION OF LOWER LIMBS

FIELD: medicine, traumatology, orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: method deals with correcting the deformation of long tubular bones, particularly in lower supracondylar congenital and causative deformations of the lower limb. The present method includes the application of the apparatus for external fixation and the osteotomy. A distal basic closed support made of three needles is installed in a plane correlating with that of posterior femoral surface, then thread rod is medially inserted through both femoral condyles at 1.5 cm against patellar edge and after supracondylar osteotomy one should simultaneously correlate the deformation with the help of the ring of basic support in the apparatus for external fixation and thread rod being used as a lever. Then rings are joined with coupling rods. EFFECT: decreased number of infectious complications, shortened terms of therapy. 3 dwg
