Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: methods for object identification by fingerprinting with aid of raster- ordered capacitive pickups. SUBSTANCE: image being read out is placed above metering conductors with shielding conductors used in- between; potential across conductors related to each pixel is varied during several charge-discharge cycles in the same manner to avoid bias currents between shielding conductors. In order to ensure similar variation of electrical potential across these conductors use may be made, for instance, of feedback operational amplifier controlled by means of one read-out conductor.
