SUBSTANCE: process consists in setting form, arrangement and mutual orientation of contact spots of ball with bearing supports. Balls are supplied into working zone through loading hole of first support. Balls are placed between two supports located on body with datum plane of base. First support comes in the form of disc with outer groove formed by two uniaxial truncated cones which minor bases face one another, its rotation axis is positioned perpendicular to datum plane of base. Rotation axes of second support are placed perpendicular to first support. Supports are rotated around their axes with speeds different in value and direction, required parameters of ball are measured in various non-recurrent sections. Balls are removed from working zone through unloading hole displaced with regard to loading hole. Several balls are simultaneously fed, installed and measured and then removed. Second supports whose number corresponds to number of balls measured at same time are made in the form of two independent discs set in motion and spring- loaded against balls with working surface of outer truncated cones facing one another with minor bases. Speeds of balls in spots of their contact with working surfaces of discs are chosen different. Second supports are uniformly arranged over periphery of first support with angular spacing sufficient for control of ball.
