SUBSTANCE: machine includes primary element with multiphase winding of lump phase coils for their sequential connection to external D C circuit and secondary element. Primary element has uniform structure in direction of relative displacement of primary and secondary elements. The latter has pole-piece modules with geometric parameters securing cyclic matched position of phase coils and pole-piece modules at same time for single phase. Pole-piece modules are magnetically autonomous and active and come in the form of lump coils or permanent magnets, their like poles face working gap. Phase coils are produced as electrically independent coils. EFFECT: reduced mass of electric machine, diminished pulsation at moment of its start, improved starting characteristics, decreased interference, improved power characteristics, elimination of harmful end effect in linear structures. 4 cl, 5 dwg
