Spool shaft is of sectional design consisting of spool and drive parts. Spool part can be axially shifted relative to drive part under action of fork of actuator of valve timing phase regulator. Width of trapezoidal recess of spool exceeds dimensions of gas exchange channels by value of axial displacement of shaft spool part. EFFECT: simplified design of adjustable valve timing gears. 2 dwg
