SUBSTANCE: invention describes beta, beta, beta', beta'-tetra- -methyltriarenotetraazachlorines of the general formula (I) beta, beta, beta', beta' where M is HH, Cu, Ni, VO; R = is H, R1 and three methods of their synthesis based on condensation of a mixture of tetramethylsucciono-nitrile with derivatives of o-phthalic or naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxylic acid. Synthesized compounds show an intensive absorption in the nearest IR-range of spectrum, good solubility and stability in organic solvents and in polymeric matrices and can be used as functional dyes, for example, as absorbing components of optical filters of the nearest IR-range. EFFECT: improved methods of synthesis, valuable properties. 4 cl
