Zusammenfassung: | ferrous metallurgy, particularly, blast-furnace production; applicable in blast furnaces with charging devices allowing distribution of materials over furnace top radius within wide ranges. SUBSTANCE: method includes charging of iron-ore materials and coke, blowing of air and fuel, additional charging of shungite mixed with coke and supplied to narrow circular zone of furnace top located within limits of furnace top located within limits furnace top radii equalling 0.1 and 0.95 furnace top radius. In this case, basicity of iron-ore burden by module of (CaO+MgO)/(SiO2+Al2O3) is increased by 0.001-0.004 per every kilogram of shungite charged for 1 t of pig iron. Basicity of iron-ore burden is increased by reduction of fraction of slightly fluxed or nonfluxed iron ore components, or by increase of basicity of fluxed components.
