Zusammenfassung:	ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves charging iron ore material, coke; blowing air and fuel additive into tuyere; charging lump schungite into furnace mouth annular zone arranged within area restricted with radii making 0.1 and 0.95 of mouth radius; periodically charging schungite with period being equal to 0.2-0.6 of charging cycle time in an amount of 0.5-15% of total weight of carbon, coke charged into furnace and fuel additive blown into furnace. Method is used for melting cast iron in blast furnace equipped with charging devices. EFFECT: reduced consumption of coke and increased efficiency of blast furnace.
