Zusammenfassung:	production of potable water; applicable in purification and conditioning (mineralization) of tap and natural waters. SUBSTANCE: method includes passage of initial water from bottom up through four layers of filter media consisting of: Karelian shungite-3; petrified fossil remains of invertebrate; shungite and natural silica. Proposed invention makes it possible to efficiency purify water from various harmful substances and correct its composition by selection of respective thickness of filtering layers (depending on concrete requirements for quality of potable water) and filtering rate. Treated water acquires biological activity inherent to natural spring water. The method allows to use filter media in the form of low-cost natural minerals and rocks on which natural process of water self-purification may be modelled.
